<strong><span style="font-size: 16px;">ISO 3161 / ISO 5855 with radius<br />
</span></strong><span style="font-size: 16px;">The norms ISO 3161, UNJ, and ISO 5855, MJ, refer to the construction of aerospace threads. They define the </span>general dimensions, the tolerances to be used, and the radius requirements for the construction of the profiles.<br />
<span style="font-size: 16px;">These norms specify that the radius profile at the external diameter must not be smaller than the basic profile or </span>exceed the permitted external diameter at any point. However, the standards do not specify any particular radius. The construction of our taps is based on the required tolerances UNJ in 3B and MJ in 4H. The designation is subject to a strict rule, according to which the pitch must always be mentioned.<br />
<span style="font-size: 16px;">ISO 5855 MJ 6x1 4H5H: Tolerance of the flank ø followed by the tolerance of the internal ø.<br />

					<description><![CDATA[<p class="p1"><strong>Innovative technology for best results</strong></p>
<p class="p1"><strong>Machinery</strong></p>
<p>The Technology Center has an efficient machine park composed of an automatic lathe, various state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC machining centers, and an automated turning and milling center for six-sided machining. We work with spindle speeds of 8,500 to 60,000 rpm and an internal cooling supply of 40 to 200 bar.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>Fixturing and Cooling</strong></p>
<p>Regarding production technology, we use precision tool holders, shrink fit, and hydraulic chucks. Workpiece clamping includes zero-point fixtures, centring collets, and three-jaw chucks. For cooling, we use vegetable-based cutting oils, synthetic and mineral oils, as well as emulsions.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>Analyzing and measuring</strong></p>
<p class="p1">Measuring equipment and systems include, among others, 3d axes, which are part of our equipment. We analyze bores for run-out, cylindricity, diameter, roughness, etc., as well as milled features regarding perpendicularity and planarity. In addition, we have a measuring arm for a measuring range of 1200 mm and a precision of 16 μm, surface roughness measuring devices, a scanning electron microscope for photomicrographs with 50.000 amplification, as well as rotating dynamometers for cutting force measuring (feed and torque) and torsion force analysis.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>CAD/CAM</strong></p>
<p class="p1">With CAD-software-solutions of the latest generation, we can model complete surfaces, parts, or meshes. Thus, we are capable to import, analyze and potentially optimizing projects submitted by our customers. Our modern CAM software allows us to performant programming, precise simulation, and optimal CNC coding for each machine tool. The capacity of the machines is fully used in synergy with the CrazyTools.</p>

<p class="p1">Drilling titanium is highly demanding. One of the reasons is the combination of its high elasticity and tensile strength. Because of its high toughness, chip breaking is difficult to realize, and due to the low thermal conductivity of titanium, heat diffuses directly into the tool. In addition, titanium tends to form built-up edges. All of this leads to higher wear, poor surface quality, and insufficient process reliability.</p>
<p class="p1">In addition, not all titanium is the same. Depending on the type of titanium, pure or alloyed, the machinability is very different. Mikron Tool has therefore developed two new products</p>

<p class="p1">These drills, which are perfectly matched to the respective titanium grades, achieve maximum drilling performance combined with high process reliability. It is now even possible to drill titanium alloys up to 10xd in a single step without multiple pecking for chip removal.</p>
